A sandy beach under the trees on Calabogie Lake, a two-minute walk from your door.

Barnet Park is the kind of beach you remember from childhood: a gentle slope into clear lake water, sand under the trees, a dock to jump off and a picnic table for whatever you brought. Bring a towel from your room and go.
Paddleboards, kayaks and life jackets are free for guests to borrow; ask at the desk and we will walk you down. The sauna is waiting when you get back.

Sand, shade, a book

The beach sits under a canopy of trees, so there is shade at every hour. A dock to jump off, picnic tables, a slow read. Dogs welcome on leash.

Then, the fire.

Walk back up the road with sand still on your feet. The sauna is hot, the plunge is cold and the fire pits are lit at dusk. Dinner is a glass of natural wine and a cheese board in the lobby, or On the Rocks, one kilometre around the lake.
