Weddings Overlooking Calabogie Lake
The ceremony happens on the lawn, with the lake behind you and the Ottawa Valley hills behind that. The reception moves into the event tents in the trees, string lights on and long tables set, and the night finishes where the bonfires are. One property, one weekend, one guest list, and nobody else checked in.
We are Rainbow Registered, a national accreditation for businesses assessed on how they welcome LGBTQ2S+ guests. It is not a sticker we printed ourselves.

Not every group here is getting married. Families take the whole place for a reunion, old friends book it for a fortieth, and clubs come up for a weekend where the only fixed point is dinner. Eleven rooms sleep thirty-four, and the property works the same way it does for a wedding: nobody else checks in.
Milestone birthdays, anniversaries, vow renewals, ski weekends and corporate offsites all run on the same footing. Tell us the shape of it and we build the weekend around it.

Where Everyone Sleeps
Eleven rooms across three acres, each with a gas fireplace, a lounge area, a soaker tub and a walk-in rain-head shower. Seven kings, three rooms with two queens, and one suite with five beds for the wedding party. Take all of them and thirty-four of you wake up here.
Every room has a kitchenette with a Nespresso, a kettle and a mini fridge, so the morning after does not depend on anyone being awake at the front desk.

Catering & The Wine Bar
Food comes from a short list of local vendors we have worked with and would eat at ourselves. You pick from that list, they build the menu with you, and we handle the timings and the kitchen access on the day.
The bar is ours. All alcohol is sourced through the venue, poured from the same low-intervention, organic and biodynamic list the lobby wine bar runs on, curated with Gibson & Co. Breakfast arrives at each door in the morning, so nobody has to organise thirty-four people before coffee.

Calabogie is an hour from downtown Ottawa and an hour from the airport, which means most of your guest list is driving in on the Friday. We arrange the shuttles: airport runs, a coach from Ottawa for anyone who wants to drink, and the loop into town and back for the people who booked elsewhere.

Wedding & Group FAQ
Up to one hundred and thirty guests on the property for the event itself. Thirty-four of those sleep here, across the eleven rooms, on a full-property buyout. Everyone else stays locally and we help you place them.
For a wedding, yes. All eleven rooms are booked together, a minimum of two nights on weekends and one night midweek, which is what makes the place yours alone. For a smaller group getaway we can talk about a partial hold.
The ceremony is outdoors on the lawn overlooking Calabogie Lake. The reception is under event tents on the lawn, laid out however you want them, so dinner and dancing are covered whatever the forecast does. The lobby lounge and wine bar carry the welcome drinks and the speeches.
Catering comes from our preferred list of local vendors, who know the property and the kitchen access. All alcohol is sourced through the venue, poured from the same organic and biodynamic list our wine bar runs on.
The Somewhere Suite is 580 sq ft with a king, two queens and two twins, and doubles as the bridal suite. It sleeps eight, so the wedding party can get ready and stay in the same room.
