About the Job

📍 Collingwood, Ontario, Canada

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance front-of-house hospitality with back-end operations to create a seamless guest experience. You’ll be the go-to person for ensuring every stay feels effortless, whether that means welcoming guests, fine-tuning our food & beverage offerings, keeping operations running smoothly, or leading an all-star team. You’ll have a direct impact on shaping the guest experience, restocking our lobby shop, and supporting the evolution of our wine bar and patios. If you love working in a dynamic environment where no two days look the same, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Your days will be a mix of 50% front-of-house hospitality and 50% behind-the-scenes operations. One minute, you’re chatting with guests about the best local trails and making sure their check-in feels effortless. The next, you’re tackling logistics to keep everything running smoothly. You’ll:

  • Lead the Guest Experience – Greet guests, handle check-ins and check-outs, and ensure every stay is exceptional.
  • Manage Bookings & Communications – Oversee reservations, guest inquiries, and special requests like a pro.
  • Stock Our Lobby Shop – Keep our retail selection stocked and selling.
  • Oversee and Level-Up Food & Beverage – Lead our evolving food program, supporting the wine bar and patio while shaping our 2025+ food & beverage strategy.
  • Keep Things Running Smoothly – Coordinate maintenance, manage suppliers, and handle ordering to ensure seamless operations.
  • Lead & Inspire the Team – Hire, train, and support an all-star housekeeping and front desk crew, setting a high bar for service.
  • Plan & Execute On-Site Programming – Help bring our signature events and activations to life.

No two days are the same, but every day, you’ll be making Somewhere Inn Collingwood the best place to stay, work, and unwind.

You Are

  • A natural leader—approachable, thoughtful, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
  • The kind of person who makes guests feel like they’ve just arrived at a friend’s place (but, like, a really stylish and well-run one).
  • Obsessed with quality—whether it’s the details in a guest room, the selection of wines at the bar, or how smoothly check-in runs.
  • A team player who sets the bar high but also knows when to celebrate wins.
  • Comfortable with tech (Mac, iPhone, iPad—you get the vibe).
  • Passionate about Collingwood and love sharing insider tips with guests.
  • Experienced in hospitality managing a restaurant or hotel (this part’s a must).
  • Okay working some evenings and weekends
  • Elevate Our F&B Scene – Lead the expansion of our food program for our wine bar and patios, and restaurants, a strategic priority for 2025 and beyond

What You Get

  • Full-time salary (weekends are part of the gig).
  • Health & dental benefits.
  • Staff discounts—because you should get to enjoy the experience too.
  • Regular staff parties and socials (we like to have a good time).

We believe hospitality should be for everyone—and that starts with our team. We’re a Rainbow Registered business, which means we’re committed to creating a workplace and guest experience that is safe, accepting, and welcoming to all. We value diverse backgrounds and perspectives, knowing they make us stronger, more creative, and better at what we do. No matter your race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, or background—if you’re passionate about crafting exceptional experiences, we’d love to hear from you.
